Regardless of how much we want to improve, we need to get crystal-clear on our will first. Here’s what I mean by that.
On a subconscious level, we secretly choose to underperform in our goals, projects, relationships and life so that, from the future, we can look back and explain WHY we couldn’t give our best – and then we blame a particular symptom, because i have dissociation, because i have ptsd, because i have anxiety, etc.
Basically you’re setting yourself up for failure before you even start.. but then when it’s the time to explain WHY you have underperformed, instead of saying that it was you choosing to underperform, you blame the problem that ‘it’ was not ‘letting’ you give your best!!So it’s not dpdr, it’s you!
This innocent explaining activity we do in our mind is quite dangerous actually.
