😮 HERE’S HOW YOU ARE CREATING DISSOCIATION, ANXIETY, NUMBNESS AND THEN BLAMING THEM AND USING THEM AS EXCUSE 😅

Many people i work with have this ingrained belief that “I CANT feel anger” “I CANT feel envious/scared/hurt/sad”

because if i feel angry im a bad person

because if i feel sad i should be stronger

because if i feel upset i should be stronger

because if i cry i’m weak and i shouldnt be weak

because if i feel happy it means imminent trouble

No wonder why you feel numb and detached from most if not all emotions!
And by dint of doing this, you’re teaching to your mind:

❌ FEELING = THREAT
❌ FEELING = FIGHT
❌ FEELING = BAD
❌ FEELING = AVOID
❌ FEELING = ESCAPE
❌FEELING = RESIST
❌FEELING = JUSTIFY
❌FEELING = PUSH DOWN
❌FEELING = CHANGE


YOU are teaching your mind to be anxious

YOU are teaching your mind to fear emotions

YOU are teaching your mind to numb and repress emotions

YOU are teaching your mind to overthink as a way to avoid feeling, because when you overthink and you are up in your head “no feeling can touch you down there in that place called body”

and you can navigate freely in this flexible intellectual world made up of hypotheses, dodging emotions, replacing emotions, cutting and selecting only the memories you want, replaying conversations, predicting, etc.

Basically in your head you can do whatever you like, you are not forced to feel a feeling in your body that you dont like!

In your head, you dont like a feeling? No problem you can always change it

A feeling is too uncomfortable? No problem you can edit it

A feeling is weird? No problem you can always justify why you dont feel it and why you feel something else
